As a clock mechanic of 35+ years running Tabor's Clock Repair and Antiques in Chesapeake, VA I now do select grandfather clock repair in the home by appointment. I have an 1890’s Anson mantel clock that the spring broke. Up until that it was running well but lost time over the week. I live in Mt. Pleasant, SC, but I have a son who lives in Chesapeake who would be glad to take it home with him for you to fix. There is no repair shop near me. He will be here at the end of May.
I am sorry to inform you that I am only doing select on site service calls on grandfather clocks at this time. I retired and closed my clock shop in 2016 only to come back in 2025 to do only service calls at the customers home and everything else online. My current business is not open to the public as per my license nor do I see where I will be building and opening a full workshop again that would be open to the public.
