Mystery Mark 3

Yes there are a lot of small figurines like this little fox? with the GOT impressed mark but nowhere can I seem to find what company or brand this is. If you recognize this mark please share your reference via email to david@meherrinenterprises.com and I will add it to a listing of mystery marks identified with a credit to you if you want.

Mystery item 1

I acquired this item in south central Virginia a few years back. I thought it was a stone axe head but it seems the third groove on the back end is unusual to say the least. It seems a bit light in weight and the surface can be dug into with a fingernail here and there like poorly fired pottery but it could be just the weathering of the rock from being buried some thousands of years. The shape only makes sense as an axe to me but if you have any ideas please share them via email to david@meherrinenterprises.com and I will add it to a page of mystery items and marks identified with a credit to you if you want.

Mystery Mark 2

Another small vase measuring only about 3-13/16 inches tall and 2-3/8 at the widest. It is marked only with a raised Z on the bottom. If you recognize this mark please share your reference via email to david@meherrinenterprises.com and I will add it to a listing of mystery marks identified with a credit to you if you want.

Mystery Mark 1

This small vase stands only about 4 inches high and 4.5 at the widest. It is marked with what appears to be an indented |’|’ over C | as far as I can tell with the Pipe character standing in for whatever is on the vase. The mark suffers from the mold being over used and thus losing detail. If you recognize this mark please share it via email to david@meherrinenterprises.com and I will add it to a listing of mystery marks identified with a credit to you if you want.

Welcome!

As a clock mechanic of 35+ years running Tabor's Clock Repair and Antiques in Chesapeake, VA I now do select grandfather clock repair in the home by appointment. You might still find me as Tabors Clock Repair on the internet, but I have redirected my old website here. Currently I can do service calls in the southeastern cities of Chesapeake, Norfolk, Virginia Beach and Suffolk. Call or email me to schedule a service call on your grandfather clock. I am not open to the public at this time having closed my last booth in an antique mall at the end of March 2025 but I do continue online only for sales. On eBay you can find me as Meherrins selling various old odds and ends. Call or write if I can be of service.
